I started the year teaching English only and (unexpectedly) finished the year with two sections of AP US History and one section of regular US History. Here’s where the classroom wound up:
This was my word wall (of word roots) for the English kids at the end of first semester.

I never did really figure out how to use that whiteboard space effectively; what you see on there in this picture is some student work (poems) and more vocabulary.

For final review my standard US History kids made this time line down the hallway. I’ve been trying to do a time line like this since I started teaching, so this was big goal fulfillment.
